Four Key Things to Remember the Moment Fraud Happens

If you or someone you know falls victim to cyber fraud, the first rule is: do not panic. According to Rajasthan Police, the following steps should be taken immediately:

Dial 1930: Call the cyber helpline number 1930 as soon as fraud occurs. This can help get the defrauded money held or frozen.
Alert your bank: Immediately inform your bank's customer care of the Unique Transaction Reference (UTR) number and transaction details.
Preserve digital evidence: Do not delete chat history, screenshots, UPI IDs or suspicious links. These serve as evidence during investigation.
Caution is protection: Never share your OTP, PIN or password with anyone.
