Cricket Australia has announced Australia's squads for the upcoming home T20I and ODI series against England, with several key players not included. Experienced pacers Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood have been left out as they prepare for the upcoming World Test Championship series against New Zealand and India.

Several new players have been included for the eight matches. Former ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup stars Mahli Beardman and Ollie Peake have been named in the 14-player ODI squad, along with young all-rounders Jack Edwards and Liam Scott. Nikhil Chaudhary, Joel Davies, Lachlan Shaw and Sam Harper are among the new faces in the T20I squad.

Nathan Ellis Also Out of ODI Series

Australia will play eight white-ball matches (three ODIs and five T20Is) against England from 13 November. Pacer Nathan Ellis will also miss the ODI series, as he is still recovering from an injury picked up against South Africa in September.

Test stars Travis Head, Matthew Renshaw, Cameron Green, Alex Carey, Josh Inglis and Cooper Connolly will not play the T20I series against England after featuring in the ODIs. Several new faces have been included in the squad to face Australia's oldest rivals.

‘Great Chance for Many Players to Show Their Ability’

Australia's chairman of selectors, George Bailey, said the ODI and T20 matches give many players a great chance to show their ability against a very strong team.

He said Liam Scott is back in the ODI squad and the selectors are very excited that he learns from every opportunity. Mahli Beardman's recent performance for Australia A was excellent, Bailey said, and the selectors are very excited about his return to the national team in the ODI and T20 formats.

Lachlan Shaw, Bailey said, is a very talented cricketer who the selectors feel will progress quickly and has a powerful game. Sam Harper has performed tremendously in domestic cricket, he added. Jake Fraser-McGurk and Mitch Owen are back in the T20 squad.
