Young Man Stabbed to Death in Delhi’s Shastri Park; Bloodied Body Found in DDA Park

A gruesome incident has sparked panic in the New Usmanpur area of North-East Delhi after a young man was found stabbed to death in a DDA park in Shastri Park on Saturday morning. Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was killed with a knife.

Body discovered by morning walkers

Locals who had gone to the park for their regular morning walk on Saturday found a young man lying in a pool of blood. Shocked by the sight, they immediately alerted the police. New Usmanpur police station officials reached the spot shortly after, cordoned off the area, and began a detailed examination of the crime scene. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team and crime branch officials were also called in to collect evidence.

Victim identified as Tohid

During the investigation, police identified the deceased as a young man named Tohid. Initial findings confirmed he had been stabbed to death. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination to the mortuary at GTB Hospital. Officials said the post-mortem report is expected to shed further light on the circumstances of the murder.

Police hunt for accused

Police have registered a murder case and intensified the search for the suspects. CCTV footage from cameras in and around the park is being examined, and residents and potential eyewitnesses are being questioned. Authorities said they are looking into every possible angle, including whether the killing was linked to an old rivalry or dispute, and are working to determine the exact time and circumstances of the crime.
