Samruddhi Expressway Accident in Wardha: Five Killed as Truck Rams Car, Sets It Ablaze

Five people were killed and one seriously injured in a horrific road accident on the Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra's Wardha district on Monday, after a speeding truck ploughed into a car from behind, causing it to burst into flames.

The accident occurred near Virul Interchange, within the jurisdiction of Pulgaon police station, when an Eicher truck collided with the car at high speed. The impact was so severe that the car was badly damaged and caught fire almost instantly.

All four occupants of the car died on the spot. The truck driver also succumbed to his injuries, while the truck's cleaner was seriously injured and has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
