Bhopal: Bhopal Traffic Police have issued traffic and diversion arrangements for 2 October, when Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in the city. Routes have been changed for different categories of vehicles during his movement from State Hangar to Hotel Taj, and the public has been urged to use alternative routes.

Arrangements for passenger buses

  • From 6 pm, passenger buses travelling to and from Sehore and Ujjain will not be allowed to enter beyond Halalpur Bus Stand towards Lalghati. These buses will terminate at Halalpur Bus Stand.
  • Passenger buses travelling to and from Halalpur Bus Stand on the Rajgarh-Biaora route can go via Mubarakpur Bypass junction, Khajuri Bypass junction and Bairagarh road to reach Halalpur Bus Stand.
  • Buses travelling to and from Nadra Bus Stand on the Rajgarh-Biaora route can go from Mubarakpur Bypass junction via Gandhi Nagar junction, Karond, Best Price junction and J.P. Nagar junction to Nadra Bus Stand.

Goods carriers, heavy, commercial and permitted vehicles

From 6 pm, movement will be diverted along the stretch from Bhadbhada crossing to Bharat Mata crossing, then via Smart Road to Polytechnic crossing, Kamla Park, Retghat, VIP Road, Lalghati and Gandhi Nagar junction.

Alternative route for heavy vehicles

  • These vehicles can travel via Mata Mandir, MANIT crossing, Nehru Nagar, Bhadbhada crossing and Sakshi Dhaba junction, turning right at Nilbad junction onto Nathu Barkheda Road, then Mugaliya Chhap, Khajuri Road, and Khajuri Bypass junction to Mubarakpur crossing.

Two-wheelers and cars

  • Because of heavy traffic pressure on the route during the movement from State Hangar to Hotel Taj, the route for these vehicles will be diverted at 8 pm.

Alternative routes for two-wheelers and cars

  • Vehicles can travel via Roshanpura crossing, Control Room, Talaiya, Hamidia Road and Karond.
  • Vehicles heading towards Bairagarh, Raja Bhoj Airport and the Rajgarh-Biaora route can go via Mata Mandir, MANIT, Nehru Nagar, Bhadbhada crossing and Sakshi Dhaba junction, turning right at Nilbad junction onto Nathu Barkheda Road, then Mugaliya Chhap, Khajuri Road, and Khajuri Bypass junction to Mubarakpur crossing.
  • Vehicles heading towards Sehore-Indore can go via Mata Mandir, MANIT, Nehru Nagar, Bhadbhada crossing, Sakshi Dhaba junction, Nilbad, Ratibad and Jhagariya.
  • Vehicles going from Bhopal city towards Sehore-Indore, Rajgarh-Biaora and Raja Bhoj Airport can also use Prabhat crossing, JK Road, Ratnagiri, Ayodhya Bypass Road, Bhanpur, Karond crossing, Nai Jail and Gandhi Nagar junction.
