Agra crime news: A clever accused who had been absconding for 25 years in a robbery case in Agra has been arrested by the police from Delhi. It is being told that after the robbery incident, he became a shooting coach and was living in Delhi by hiding his identity. The police used Artificial Intelligence (AI) and, after a traffic fine (challan) was issued to his car, learned of his new whereabouts, after which he was arrested. The Agra Police Commissioner and the DCP have also rewarded the police officers who caught the accused.

Committed robbery in 2002

According to the information, Samuel, a resident of Arjun West Nagar in Shahganj, had absconded with a young woman in 2001. Following this, the woman's family members had registered a case against Samuel at the Hari Parvat police station. Meanwhile, in 2002, Samuel was also involved in a robbery incident of about 1.75 lakh rupees, after which his two accomplices, Deepak and Amit, were arrested by the police, but nothing was found out about Samuel. During that time, the police had declared a reward of 2,500 rupees on him.

Was teaching shooting in a Delhi school

The police said that during this period, Samuel changed both his name and identity and started living in hiding at different places. The police received information that he had named himself Sahdev Yadav and Amit Mishra. After committing the robbery incident, he fled to Manipur. After this, he came to Gujarat and finally settled down in Delhi and started teaching shooting to students by becoming a shooting coach in a school.

The police said that during this time, a reward of 50,000 rupees had been declared on Samuel and the police had a 25-year-old photograph of him. The police modified the photograph with the help of Artificial Intelligence and uploaded it to the police portal. The police said that a picture of Samuel looked similar to a driving licence. During the investigation, it was found out that a traffic fine (challan) had been issued on his driving licence. The police have stated that the vehicle on which the fine was issued was registered in the name of a woman.

Sent to jail

DCP City Syed Ali Abbas said that after matching the photo with the accused, the police conducted reconnaissance of Samuel's house for a month, and when it became clear to the police that this was indeed Samuel living in Delhi, he was arrested. When the police traced the woman, it was found out that she was the same woman with whom Samuel had absconded. Currently, the accused Samuel has been sent to jail by the police. Meanwhile, the police team that arrested him has been rewarded.
