Rajasthan: 75-Year-Old Jagdish’s Body Found Wrapped in Blanket in Jaipur’s Sanganer, Murder Suspected

A sensation was caused in Jaipur after the body of an elderly man was found wrapped in a blanket in a deserted area under the Sanganer Sadar police station limits. Police reached the spot, examined the condition of the body and collected the necessary evidence. The body has also been identified. Preliminary investigation suggests this is a case of murder, and police have begun working to solve the case.

Body found wrapped in a blanket in a deserted spot on Thursday morning

Police received information on Thursday morning about a body wrapped in a blanket lying in a deserted spot under the Sanganer Sadar police station area. On receiving the information, the local police reached the spot. The body was of an elderly man of around 75 years of age. It had already decomposed, and there was a foul smell at the location. Given the condition of the body, police suspect it may have been lying there for several days. Following this, an FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team was called to the spot to carry out an examination.

Preliminary investigation raises suspicion of murder elsewhere

Based on the initial evidence gathered from the spot, police suspect that the elderly man was murdered at another location and the body was later dumped in the deserted area to dispose of it. Sanganer Sadar Station House Officer Kamlesh Kumar said the FSL team has collected the necessary evidence from the spot. Police are currently investigating the entire matter and trying to bring out the facts related to the murder.

Identified as 75-year-old Jagdish

According to police, the body has been identified as that of 75-year-old Jagdish. The body has been taken into custody and kept in the hospital mortuary for a post-mortem. Police are now trying to establish when and under what circumstances Jagdish went missing from home, and are also gathering information from his family members in this regard. Further facts related to the case are expected to emerge after the post-mortem.

Police continue investigation

Police are scanning CCTV footage from routes leading to the spot where Jagdish's body was found. The investigation is aimed at establishing who brought the body there. Police are trying to identify suspects through the footage. Police say the investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to trace those who dumped the body at the location.
