Marwari Golden King Horse Hanumangarh Rajasthan Sold Surat 70 Lakh

A rare golden-coloured Marwari horse named Golden King, the pride of Gudiya village in Tibbi tehsil of Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan, has been sold for ₹70 lakh to a horse lover from Surat, Gujarat. When the horse was handed over to its new owner, the entire village was moved to tears.

A Miracle of Nature

Golden King's owner, Altaf Khan alias Babu Khan, a resident of Gudiya village, shared fascinating details about this exceptional horse. He brought the horse from Haryana a few years ago when it was very young. As it grew older, its coat turned completely golden, shining like pure gold.

The most astonishing fact Altaf revealed is that both of Golden King's parents are purebred jet-black Marwari horses. Naturally, black parents produce dark-coloured offspring — but this horse was born with a brilliantly golden coat, a pure miracle of nature. Such a rare colour in the Marwari breed occurs perhaps once in crores of horses, making it extraordinarily special among horse lovers across the country.

The Village Wept at His Farewell

When the Surat buyer's vehicle arrived at Gudiya to take Golden King away, the scene resembled the emotional farewell of a beloved daughter leaving her parental home. Hundreds of villagers gathered at Altaf's farmhouse for one last glimpse. Elders and youth alike bid farewell to the horse with moist eyes, stroking him tenderly. Young villagers queued up to take selfies and photos with Golden King as a final memory.

Villagers said that because of Golden King, their small village had been proudly named at horse fairs across Rajasthan and Haryana, and his departure was deeply painful for everyone.

What Made Golden King Worth ₹70 Lakh

For the past two years, agents representing wealthy horse enthusiasts and royal families from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai had been approaching Altaf with offers. The Surat buyer, however, sealed the deal at ₹70 lakh upon seeing the horse's exceptional qualities:

Regal gait — so perfectly balanced and majestic that he looked like a champion of any major horse show.

Signature curved ears — the hallmark of the Marwari breed, with inward-curling, circular ears in ideal condition on Golden King.

Powerful build — well-defined muscles, a broad chest, and an impressive tall frame that drew crowds wherever he went.

Altaf noted that golden-coloured Marwari horses are in high demand not just nationally but internationally, and the Surat buyer wasted no time finalising the deal the moment he saw the unique combination of rare colour and pure Marwari genetics.
