Jhabua: The district administration in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, has stepped up efforts to overhaul the education system and improve learning standards in schools. Inspections carried out by officials across the district's development blocks are being used to identify teachers found negligent in their duties, with disciplinary action following.
Special committees formed at the district level are conducting continuous inspections of schools. These inspections check not only teacher attendance but also closely assess students' reading, writing and mathematical ability. During the inspections, 96 teachers found negligent in academic and administrative duties were identified and issued show-cause notices. Two teachers were suspended over serious negligence and indiscipline.
Monitoring Through the 'Jhabua Ki Aakanksha' App
To bring transparency and rigour to the education system, the entire inspection process has been digitised through the 'Jhabua Ki Aakanksha' mobile app. Teacher attendance, school activities and children's learning outcomes are now being reviewed regularly based on real-time data received on the app and field inspection reports.
Online Attendance on App Made Mandatory, or Salary Will Be Cut
The administration has taken a further strict step to act against negligent teachers. All teachers and heads of institutions in the district must now record their attendance daily on the 'EHRMS App'. The administration has issued a clear warning that teachers absent from school without approval from a competent authority will face strict disciplinary action. Employees who fail to record their attendance on the EHRMS app will be considered absent, and such employees will face salary cuts and other punitive action as per rules.
No Compromise on Quality
The Collector has made clear that providing better and quality education to children in the district's tribal and rural areas is the administration's top priority, and that no compromise will be tolerated at any level on the quality of education.
