Ajmer: In Rajasthan's Ajmer, a moving car caught fire, resulting in the painful death of four family members, including a Congress leader, who were burnt alive. The incident took place at around 5:30 am on Thursday in the Borada police station area, about 60 kilometres away from Ajmer city. The accident happened between Kashir and Borada, near Borada village. Upon receiving information about the accident, top police officers rushed to the spot, and a fire brigade was called to extinguish the flames. However, by then, four people had been burnt alive and the car was completely destroyed.

According to the police, the moving Scorpio car suddenly caught fire, leading to the deaths of former Sarpanch and District Council member Ramsingh Choudhary and three of his family members. In the accident, his mother and former Sarpanch Pusi Devi, his wife, and his niece Mahima were also burnt alive. It is being reported that as soon as the fire started, the car completely turned into a ball of fire. Three people died on the spot, while one succumbed to their injuries while being taken to the hospital.

Accident occurred whilst taking mother to hospital

According to information, Pusi Devi suddenly started experiencing chest pain in the morning. Ramsingh Choudhary was taking her to the hospital because of this. Ramsingh's wife and niece were also in the car during this time. However, before they could reach the hospital, the car caught fire. Within moments, the fire took a fierce form. The occupants of the car did not even get a chance to get out. The police brought the car fire under control using water tankers called from nearby areas.

Several officers, including Superintendent of Police, reached the spot

Ajmer District Superintendent of Police, Harsh Vardhan Agarwala, is personally monitoring the entire matter. As soon as the information was received, Deputy Ayush Vashisht, Borada Station House Officer Suryabhan Singh, and Arai Station House Officer Roshan Samaria arrived at the scene. According to the information received, an FSL team has started gathering evidence from the spot.

The police are investigating the accident from every angle, including a short circuit. Ajmer SP Harsh Vardhan Agarwala stated that the cause of the incident has not been revealed yet. However, the police are conducting the investigation by treating it as a case of murder, as bloodstains were found during a search of the family home.
