IPL 2026 Final: After reaching the final, RCB would not want to face Hyderabad team

IPL 2026 Final: The title clash of IPL 2026 will be played on 31 May, which will start from 7:30 PM at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the first qualifier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans to book their place in the title clash, but till now it has not been decided who will face RCB. However, the teams of Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans, and Sunrisers Hyderabad are included in the race.

Hyderabad has snatched the title 2 times

Now the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team must be praying that they do not face the Hyderabad team in the final, because this is the very team that has snatched the title from them twice. Let us tell you that in IPL history, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team has reached the final for the fifth time. The first time they reached the title clash was in 2009, where the Hyderabad franchise Deccan Chargers defeated them by 6 runs to keep them away from the title. After that, in 2011, Chennai Super Kings defeated them in the final.

After that, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team reached the final in 2016. Here, the Hyderabad franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated them by 8 runs to keep them away from the title. In 2025, Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the final for the fourth time, but this time they were up against Punjab Kings, whom they defeated by 6 runs to capture the trophy for the first time.

Now the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team has reached the final for the fifth time and will pray that the Sunrisers Hyderabad team does not come in front of them, because Bengaluru's record against Hyderabad is not good. They have played the final twice against Hyderabad and have had to face defeat both times.

SRH will have to win 2 matches to play the final

Let us tell you that for the remaining one spot in the final, the teams of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, and Gujarat Titans are still in the race. Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will clash in the Eliminator match. After this, the team winning the Eliminator will face Gujarat Titans in the second qualifier. Then the team that wins the second qualifier will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the title clash.
