Adityanath briefed the media himself after the meeting. Both deputy chief ministers, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and leaders of allied parties were present.

He said the proposal was passed to honour Prime Minister Narendra Modi's contribution on completing 25 years of public service. The cabinet also extended its warm greetings to the Prime Minister, he said.

The chief minister said development work had been carried out in Uttar Pradesh under the Prime Minister's leadership, including 42 new highways. He added that Modi was leading the country from the soil of Uttar Pradesh.
