PM Modi Says NEET Paper Leak Culprits Will Face Strict Punishment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken on the NEET paper leak controversy, according to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who said the Prime Minister stated that those responsible would face strict punishment. Rijiju said Modi also stressed that the paper leak issue should not be turned into a political matter, adding that the government remains sensitive to students' concerns and will not allow young people's futures to be jeopardised.

Rijiju shared these remarks with the media following the NDA parliamentary party meeting, now referred to as the "Mangal Milan" gathering.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Rijiju said the Prime Minister described the paper leak as a matter of national concern that should not be politicised. He said Modi instructed that top legal experts be consulted to ensure strict action is taken against the culprits.

According to Rijiju, the Prime Minister told MPs that the government stands with students and that stern action must be taken against those involved in the leak. Rijiju added that tackling paper leaks was not solely the Centre's responsibility, but also that of state governments, wherever such incidents occur.

Statement Comes Amid CJP Protests

Rijiju's statement comes at a time when protests by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) over the NEET paper leak have intensified. The party organised a "Sansad Chalo" march on Monday, and a CJP delegation also met BJP president JP Nadda to present their demands.

"Mangal Milan" Meeting Deemed a Success

Rijiju described the NDA parliamentary party meeting as highly successful, noting that the Prime Minister guided MPs on several key national issues and highlighted the country's recent achievements.

He said Modi discussed recent free trade agreements (FTAs) signed with various countries, along with the nation's broader accomplishments, in detail. The meeting also welcomed recently elected Rajya Sabha members, including Nitin Naveen.
