Bhopal is undergoing development across all sectors. Over the next five to seven years, a significant chapter is expected to be added to the city's history. Bhopal is progressing towards establishing its identity on the global stage, not only for its modern amenities and commercial activities but also as a major hub for religious tourism.

Currently, various religious projects are underway across different parts of the city. These projects, expected to be completed over the next few years, aim to enhance the city's aesthetics and stature. This growth in religious tourism is anticipated to boost the local economy and benefit local businesses, transport, and the hotel industry.

60 Per Cent of Work Completed
Combining spirituality with modern architecture, 'Mansarovar Dham' is being developed across five acres in the Phanda area on Indore Road. The project is designed around the concept of four distinct realms ('Loks'). Among these, 'Shiv Lok' has already been completed and is attracting a large number of tourists.
Construction is currently underway for 'Vishnu Lok', with 60 per cent of the work now complete. According to Sanjay Kashyap from the Dham, 'Vishnu Lok' will be ready within the next two years.

Additionally, a cowshed ('Gaushala') has already been built. The construction of 'Brahm Lok' and 'Indra Lok' is also proposed and will commence after the completion of 'Vishnu Lok'. Due to its location near the city boundary, a significant increase in both local and external tourists is expected in the future.

Renovation of Navgrah Shani Temple
The Shani Temple located in the Nehru Nagar area of the city is also undergoing renovation. Construction work has commenced, and foundational work is currently in progress. The renovation, being executed at a cost of over 50 lakh rupees, is scheduled for completion within this year. The founder of the temple, Gajendra Shastri, stated that the renovation spans across 10,000 square feet. The temple complex features a 51-foot idol of Shani Dev, the tallest in the city.

Religious Tourism to Drive Employment
There is a rising trend in spiritual awareness within society, with people turning towards spirituality for mental peace. Consequently, several religious sites have been constructed in the city over the past few years, and multiple projects are proposed for the future. The construction of these temples and religious complexes creates an economic ecosystem that directly benefits local residents.

"Whenever a temple or religious complex is built, it does not just remain a structure but becomes the centre of an economic ecosystem. The direct benefit goes to the local residents."
