Working professionals are using it for their projects, and school children are using it for their assignments. However, the work done by machines can be identified. A similar case has emerged from Sonipat, where a private university has failed an LLM student to create an assignment with the help of AI. The student has filed a complaint against the college in the High Court.
The Punjab-Haryana High Court has now issued a notice to the university.
Kaustubh Shakkarwar, an LLM student at O P Jindal Global University, created an assignment with the help of AI. Kaustubh, a resident of Hyderabad, is pursuing his LLM from O P Jindal Global University. The university failed him. The student has filed an objection against the result in the Punjab-Haryana High Court, following which the High Court has issued a notice to the university.
The High Court has issued a notice to the university, ordering it to respond. In his petition, Kaustubh Shakkarwar has also demanded that the decision of the 'Unfair Means Committee' be quashed, which had declared his answer sheet as AI-generated. The matter has been adjourned till November 14.
