Delhi's new Chief Minister Atishi has placed an empty chair next to her own. She claims to be 'Bharat' and says 'Shri Ram' will sit on it in a few months. The new CM is referring to Aam Aadmi Party's convener and former CM Arvind Kejriwal as 'Shri Ram'. During a media interaction, Delhi's CM said, "Just like Bharat took care of Lord Ram's sandals for 14 years and handled the responsibility, I will run the Delhi government for the next four months."
During this, an empty chair was also placed next to Atishi. The one where former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal used to sit. Atishi said, "Lord Shri Ram is known as the ideal man. Arvind Kejriwal has set an example of morality and ethics in politics over the past 10 years. But the Bharatiya Janata Party has left no stone unturned in tarnishing Kejriwal's image. For the past two years, Kejriwal has been constantly defamed, false cases were filed against him, and he was arrested. He was imprisoned for six months. When he was released from jail, he could have sat on the CM's chair, but he didn't think it was right.
Kejriwal had said, "If the people consider me honest, they will elect me as the CM and make me sit on this chair." The assembly elections are scheduled for February 2025. Until then, this chair will remain in this room, waiting for Arvind Kejriwal's return. When Kejriwal wins, he will sit on this chair. This chair belongs to Kejriwal. I have faith that the people of Delhi will elect him. It's worth noting that Arvind Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, resigned from the post of Delhi CM after being released from Tihar Jail. Kejriwal had recently been granted bail by the Supreme Court in the alleged Delhi liquor scam case.
