Hospital officials said the victim was brought to the hospital for a CT scan due to health-related issues. The accused allegedly molested her there. After leaving the laboratory, she told her family members about the incident.

The accused has been taken into custody

After receiving information about the incident, the hospital administration took cognizance of the matter. The local police station was immediately informed, and the accused was taken into custody. According to police sources, the accused is being questioned. Hospital officials claim that the local police are conducting their investigation, and the hospital's internal complaint committee has also started investigating the matter.

Protests are taking place in the state

Apart from investigating the incident, the internal committee is also examining the existing security lapses in the hospital system that led to the molestation incident. This incident has come to light at a time when the state government is facing widespread protests over the brutal rape and murder of a woman doctor at RG Hospital, run by the state government.
