A speeding car rammed into a bike near Holagara on the Sirohi-Kandla highway, within the Anadra police station area of Sirohi district, late on Sunday evening around 7pm. The collision killed three people and left a woman and her child injured.

Five people were riding on the bike — a couple, their two children and a relative — when the car, coming from the direction of Sirohi, struck them. The impact was severe enough to send the car out of control, and it crashed into the wall of a petrol pump located by the roadside, causing panic among bystanders.

According to police, the group on the bike was travelling from Boki Derli towards Chandela village at the time of the crash. A crowd gathered at the scene soon after the accident. On being informed, Anadra Circle Inspector Amra Ram reached the spot with a police team and had the injured taken to the Anadra Community Health Centre.

Two Brothers and Toddler Killed

Bhavesh Garasia, Dinesh Garasia and two-year-old Arjun died in the accident. Bhavesh and Dinesh were brothers. All three are reported to be residents of Chandela village. Police have kept the bodies in the hospital mortuary.

Woman Had Come to Tie Rakhi for Her Brother

Police said Kali Devi, a resident of Chandela, has her maternal home in Boki Derli. She had arrived two days earlier with her two children to tie a rakhi for her brother. On Sunday, her husband was taking her and the children back to Chandela when the accident occurred along the way.

Treatment Continues for Injured Mother and Son

Kali Devi and her child, who were injured in the accident, remain under treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the causes of the accident and the speed at which the car was travelling. Further action in the case is under way.

Second Accident: Man Killed in Bike-to-Bike Collision

In a separate incident, a man was seriously injured when two bikes collided on the service road near Chandrawati, within the RIICO police station area of Abu Road. He was taken to the government hospital in Abu Road, where doctors declared him dead. Police have kept the body in the mortuary.

According to RIICO police, Bhagabhai, a resident of the Amirgarh area in Gujarat, reported that he was travelling to Kyariya village along with his brothers, Deva and Praveen, to get a rakhi tied. Deva was riding a separate bike. Near Chandrawati village, another bike collided with Deva's bike on the service road, leaving him seriously injured. He was declared dead at the hospital. Police have registered a case based on the report and begun an investigation.
