DUNGARPUR: A horrific road accident in Vadodara, Gujarat, shattered multiple families early Wednesday morning. A luxury sleeper bus rammed into the back of a moving truck near Kotambi village on the Vadodara-Halol road, claiming the lives of seven people and leaving more than 25 passengers injured.
Most of the passengers on board were residents of the Banswara and Dungarpur districts in Rajasthan.

According to official reports, the luxury bus was en route from Banswara, Partapur, and Sagwara toward Surat, carrying around 45 passengers.

The Crash: On Wednesday early morning, as the bus reached Kotambi village, it crashed violently into the rear end of a truck moving ahead of it.

The Impact: The impact was so severe that the front section of the bus was completely crushed, trapping several passengers inside and triggering widespread panic and chaos.

Residents rushed to the spot to initiate rescue operations and alerted the police. While five people tragically died on the spot, two more succumbed to their injuries later during treatment at the hospital, bringing the final death toll to seven.
The injured have been rushed to various hospitals in Vadodara. While some sustained minor injuries, the condition of a few remains critical.

Reacting to the tragedy, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed his condolences on X.
