रविवार के अवकाश में भीषण गर्मी से बचने के लिए घरों में दुबके लोगों की वजह से शहर में सन्नाटा सा पसार रहा। 

मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र जयपुर के अनुसार शेखावाटी में अगले चार-पांच दिनों में गर्मी का असर तेज होगा। इस दौरान लू का प्रकोप भी देखने को मिलेगा।

<p>कोटा. टॉप इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजों में प्रवेश के लिए आईआईटी कानपुर की ओर से आयोजित देश की सबसे प्रतिष्ठित जेईई एडवांस्ड परीक्षा रविवार को दो पारियों में शांति पूर्ण सम्पन्न हो गई।कोटा में 5 परीक्षा केन्द्रों पर परीक्षा हुई। सुबह 7 बजे से स्टूडेंट्स की रिपोर्टिंग शुरू हो गई थी। परीक्षार्थियों को कड़ी चैकिंग के बाद सेंटर में प्रवेश दिया गया। परीक्षा शुरू होने से 30 मिनट पहले सुबह 8.30 बजे कंप्यूटर सिस्टम आवंटित कर दिया गया। उस पर स्टूडेंट का नाम, फोटो एवं जेईई एडवांस रोल नंबर थे। इससे पहले कोचिंग संस्थानों में परीक्षा देने से पूर्व विद्या​र्थियों का स्वागत किया गया। बच्चों को परीक्षा केंद्र छोड़ने आए परिजन लड्डू गोपाल भी साथ लेकर आए। भीषण गर्मी के चलते विद्या​र्थियों व अ​भिभावकों की भी दोहरी परीक्षा रही। केन्द्रों के बाहर कतार लगी रही। कुछ संस्थाओं ने छांव की व्यवस्था की। छांव वाले स्थान पर अ​भिभावक बैठे नजर आए। </p>

<p>कोटा. यह दौर विज्ञान का है। रोबोट और एआई जैसी तकनीकें आ रही हैं, जिससे जीवन पहले से अधिक आसान हो रहा है, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं है कि रोजमर्रा के जीवन में जो सुविधाएं आज हमें उपलब्ध हैं, वे पहले नहीं थी। पहले भी पंखे, वॉशिंग मशीन और आइसक्रीम जमाने की मशीनें उपयोग में ली जाती थीं। अंतर सिर्फ इतना है कि समय के साथ इनका रूप और तकनीक बदल गई है। इसका जीवंत उदाहरण है गढ़ पैलेस स्थित राव माधोसिंह संग्रहालय, जहां संग्रहित पुराने पंखे, वॉशिंग मशीन और आइसक्रीम बनाने की मशीनें तत्कालीन विज्ञान और समृद्ध जीवनशैली की गवाही देती हैं।</p>

<p>रायपुर. राजधानी के कैनाल लिंक रोड पर राहगीरों की सुविधा के लिए बस स्टॉप के स्टैंड और टॉयलेट रूम को बनाया गया। गर्मी के मौसम में राहगीर धूप से बचने छांव की तलाश करते हैं, पर बस स्टॉप किसी को सहारा ही नहीं दे पा रहे हैं, अभी तो मानसून आने को है। ऐसे में धूप और बारिश में राहगीरों के लिए ये शेड सिर्फ कबाड़ के अलावा कुछ नहीं रह जाएगा। बस स्टॉप के साथ स्मार्ट टॉयलेट में भी राहगीर असुविधा का सामना कर रहे हैं। यह रोड पंडरी सीधे कौशल्या माता विहार को जोड़ता है। यह सड़क पड़री रोड को कौशल्या माता विहार को सीधे जोड़ता है। शंकर नगर रोड, गौरवपथ, श्याम नगर, कटोरा तालाब, राजेन्द्र नगर, न्यू राजेन्द्र नगर, अमलीडीह, लालपुर के लिए राहगीर इस सड़क का उपयोग करते हैं।</p>

Pakistan targeted Golden Temple, Indian Army foiled plot


<p><strong>Operation Sindoor:</strong> Pakistan continues its nefarious activities. During India&#8217;s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan attempted an attack on the Golden Temple in Amritsar. The Indian Army responded decisively. On 8 May, the army successfully thwarted this Pakistani attack using its robust air defence system. Major General Kartik C Seshadri, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 15th Infantry Division, revealed this on Monday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pakistan Targeted Amritsar&#8217;s Golden Temple</h2>



<p>Major General Kartik explained that in response to India&#8217;s attacks on nine terrorist locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on the night of 7-8 May, Pakistan attempted to target the Golden Temple in Amritsar using drones and missiles. The senior Indian Army officer stated that Pakistan lacked any legitimate military targets and was expected to attack civilian and religious sites in India.</p>

<p>Speaking to the media, the senior Indian Army officer said that knowing the Pakistani army lacked legitimate targets, it was anticipated they would target Indian military installations, religious sites, and civilian targets. Delhi Schools: New SOPs, Strict Action Against False Alarms


<p>Delhi Schools: Following an order from the Delhi High Court, the Delhi government has implemented a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for enhanced security measures in all schools within the National Capital Territory. This decision follows the Delhi High Court&#8217;s directives of 14 November 2024, which demanded a detailed action plan to strengthen security in schools. This SOP has been implemented with immediate effect on government, government-aided, minority-run, and recognised unaided private schools in the capital.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Delhi Government Acts in Response to Bomb Threats</h2>



<p>Delhi schools have faced a series of bomb threats in recent years. In 2024-25, over 200 schools in the capital received bomb threats, which were later found to be false. These incidents not only created fear among students and parents but also became a matter of concern for the administration. In view of this situation, the Delhi government, through the Directorate of Education (DOE), has developed an effective protocol.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Four-Tier Security System Implemented in Schools</h2>



<p>According to the Delhi government&#8217;s protocol, the new SOP adopts a four-tiered strategy for school security: Prevention, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. The aim is to create a system in schools where children and teachers can immediately and collaboratively defend themselves in an emergency situation. The SOP provides detailed information about the steps to be taken by all schools.</p>



<p>The new SOP issued by the Delhi government states that all schools should install adequate CCTV cameras and ensure their regular monitoring. Furthermore, all schools must prepare an evacuation plan, with specific arrangements for children with disabilities and special needs (CWSN).</p>



<p>Monthly security audits and mock drills will also be conducted in schools. An updated building map should be provided to district authorities and emergency services. The SOP clarifies that all schools must submit a monthly security checklist to their respective District Education Officers to ensure transparency and accountability. This will enhance administrative oversight and the possibility of timely improvements.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Strict Warning Against False Threats</h2>



<p>The protocol also provides for strict legal action in cases of false threats. It explicitly mentions that legal action will be taken against any student, parent, or school staff who spreads false alarms or threats. The aim is to maintain discipline and the seriousness of security in schools.</p>



<p>The SOP emphasises maintaining constant coordination with emergency services such as the Delhi Police, Fire Service, and Traffic Police. Schools have been instructed to streamline the process of contacting these agencies for a swift response in emergencies.</p>

<p><strong>UP Rains Alert and Thunderstorm:</strong> Uttar Pradesh is expected to experience a change in weather. Residents, currently battling intense heat and heatwaves, can anticipate relief in the coming days. According to the meteorological department&#8217;s forecast, there is a possibility of strong winds, thunderstorms, and light to moderate rain in several parts of UP between 19 May and 23 May.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Warning of Lightning in 34 Districts of Eastern and Western UP</h2>



<p>The meteorological department has issued an alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds in 34 districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. Winds are expected to reach speeds of 40 to 50 km per hour in these districts. The weather will be particularly impactful in districts such as Rampur, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Gorakhpur, Basti, Kushinagar, Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad, and Bareilly on Monday and Tuesday.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Indications of Strong Winds and Rain on 21 May</h2>



<p>On 21 May, many districts are expected to experience thunderstorms, rain, and lightning. This fluctuating weather pattern will continue across the state for the next two to three days. Meanwhile, in Rampur, the maximum temperature has reached 43 degrees amidst a severe heatwave. The meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and rain from 22 to 24 May.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Banda Hottest, but Relief Expected Soon</h2>



<p>On Sunday, Banda was the hottest district in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 46.4 degrees Celsius. However, the changing weather patterns promise relief from the heat in the coming days.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Does the Meteorological Department Say?</h2>



<p>The meteorological department states that on 23 and 24 May, the state will experience cloudy skies with a likelihood of rain accompanied by strong winds. The impact of three active weather systems in eastern UP may persist until Wednesday.</p>

<p>Jyoti Malhotra: A popular YouTuber, Jyoti Malhotra, has been apprehended on charges of espionage for the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. Her lavish lifestyle had placed her under the scrutiny of investigative agencies for some time. A video of Jyoti Malhotra with Pakistani politician Maryam Nawaz further heightened suspicions. Her trip to Bali raised eyebrows, revealing her contact with the Pakistani agency. The arrest of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra and the subsequent revelations have shocked many. It has also come to light that she had visited Madhya Pradesh. Almost a year ago, Jyoti Malhotra travelled from Hisar to Ujjain, the city of Mahakaleshwar, and also visited Indore. Her videos of Ujjain and Indore, shared on her YouTube channel, revealed this information. However, the reason for her visit to MP remains unknown.</p>



<p>Jyoti Malhotra, a resident of Hisar, Haryana, is known on social media for her travel vlogs and glamorous lifestyle. She runs the YouTube channel ‘Travel with Jo’, which boasts over 3.77 lakh subscribers. The 33-year-old has 1.31 lakh followers on Instagram.</p>



<p>During Operation Sindoor, Jyoti Malhotra&#8217;s contact with the Pakistani agency came to light. It was discovered that she had a close friendship with Danish, an official at the Pakistani High Commission, through whom she made several trips to Pakistan. Jyoti Malhotra shared a video on her YouTube channel with Maryam Nawaz, a prominent Pakistani leader. This surprised investigative agencies. Security officials were puzzled as to how an ordinary YouTuber could gain access to a leader like Maryam. Ultimately, her activities were exposed.</p>



<p>Jyoti Malhotra&#8217;s swift acquisition of Pakistani and Chinese visas also kept investigative agencies closely monitoring her. Recently, she visited Bali and shared videos from her trip. Her luxurious lifestyle has led security agencies to suspect funding from an unknown source, which is currently under investigation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Why did Jyoti Malhotra visit MP?</h2>



<p>YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra&#8217;s connection to Madhya Pradesh has now emerged. She visited Ujjain and Indore a year ago. The videos she shared of Ujjain and Indore on her YouTube channel, ‘Travel with Jo’, revealed this information. However, the purpose of her visit, her accommodation, and her activities in both cities remain unknown.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Investigative agencies to investigate</h2>



<p>Jyoti Malhotra shared videos of her MP trip on her YouTube channel. One video, dated March 23, 2024, shows her train journey from Hisar to Ujjain. Three days later, on March 26, 2024, she uploaded another video of her bus journey from Indore to Delhi. She did not share any videos of her activities, locations visited, or accommodations in either city. Investigative agencies will now investigate these aspects.</p>

<p><strong>Jaipur</strong>: Railway passengers will need to be cautious when planning their journeys in the coming days, as several train operations have been altered due to ongoing construction work and technical improvements on various rail routes. Some trains will operate on changed routes, while others will have altered stoppages or timings. The railway administration has implemented these changes temporarily, keeping passenger convenience in mind.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. Eight Trains, Including Kathgodam-Jaisalmer, to Run on Altered Routes</strong></h2>



<p>Rail traffic will be affected due to the construction of Rail Under Bridges (RUBs) at level crossings numbers 209 and 210 on the Kanota-Khatipura rail section of the Jaipur division. Therefore, the Bhuj-Bareilly, Kathgodam-Jaisalmer, Varanasi-Sabarmati, Barmer-Jammu Tawi, Porbandar-Delhi Sarai, and Jammu Tawi-Ajmer trains running on 31 May, and the Barmer-Jammu Tawi train on 1 June, will operate via Rewari-Ringas-Phulera on an altered route. In addition, the Lalgarh-Prayagraj train on 1 June will depart from Lalgarh station with a delay of 2 hours and 30 minutes.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Mysore-Bhagat Ki Kothi Special Train to Get Additional Stoppages</strong></h2>



<p>Keeping passenger convenience in mind, the railway administration has decided to provide two-minute halts at Sangli, Karad, and Satara stations for the Mysore-Bhagat Ki Kothi Special train from 19 May. The Bhagat Ki Kothi-Mysore Special train on the same route has already been making these stops since 15 May.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>3. Yashvantpur-Bikaner Express Halt Cancelled at Alamatti Station</strong></h2>



<p>Due to doubling work between the Bagalkot-Mugalalli Halt-Jerdamkunti-Alamatti rail section, the operation of the Yashvantpur-Bikaner Express will be partially affected. The halt at Alamatti station has been cancelled for the train departing from Yashvantpur on 22 June and for the trains departing from Bikaner on 22 and 24 June.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Bikaner-Yashvantpur Train to be Regulated on 20 May</strong></h2>



<p>Due to technical work at the Sri Mahadevappa Malara railway station (Haveri-Byadgi rail section) in the Mysore division of the South Western Railway, the operation of the Bikaner-Yashvantpur train on 20 May will be affected. This train will be regulated (delayed) for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes in the South Western Railway zone, which may cause inconvenience to passengers.</p>


<p>Indian Railways has changed routes, halts, and timings for several trains. Some will be delayed or diverted. </p>
